Namindo solar carports and pergolas in every capital

Namindo's own building-integrated PV (BIPV) designs: a solar roof that is also the carport or pergola, fixed or sun-following, modelled hour by hour on the typical year of each Australian capital. This is Namindo's design work. It stands on its own.

Design 1Fixed solar carport

Panels set facing north. Lowest price and the fastest payback where the carport can face north.

Design 2Sun-following solar carport

The canopy tilts toward the sun through the day. Works at any orientation and makes the most power.

What the carport makes, city by city

System size and electricity price

The default price is the 2026–27 regulated retail usage rate in each region, including GST: what each extra kilowatt-hour saves when it is used on site. Electricity sold to the grid or under a power purchase agreement earns less, so type your own rate for that case.

Modelled on a typical meteorological year (PVGIS, European Commission JRC), built from months of different years between 2005 and 2023, so dates are shown without a year. The banknotes are illustrations of value, not real currency designs.

About these numbers

These are Namindo design models, not measurements. The carport designs use Namindo's own model, with Namindo proprietary licensed technology inputs and reflectance materials for managed reflection. How the gain is achieved is not shown on this page.

Each capital is modelled on its public PVGIS typical meteorological year (2005 to 2023). How Namindo runs the model, the first-principles runs and the empirical adjustments for surfaces and assumptions, is proprietary and licensed. The results are set against the same panels laid flat over grass. Prices are Namindo estimates and will be confirmed by quotation.
