Managed Reflection Gains

Four trial sites, shown as Sites A to D until each host agrees to be named. The modelled gain, untreated against treated, and the sunshine of each site's typical year. As measured data arrives, it is drawn over the model as daily, weekly and monthly averages.

Demonstrators: frame and treatment, shown apart

Effective irradiance on the modules against a flat frame lying over grass, on the same weather. Blue is the gain from the frame itself. Orange is what managed reflection adds on top.

Bars are in percentage points over the flat frame on grass. Measured against its own untreated frame, managed reflection adds 12.2 per cent on Unit 1 and 12.7 per cent on Unit 2.

About these numbers

These are results only. How the gain is achieved, the treatments and the model are Namindo's and are not shown on this page. Each site is modelled on its own public typical meteorological year (PVGIS, 2005 to 2023). Figures are before temperature, mismatch, soiling and inverter losses. The trial measures each site against an untreated control, and measured results are added here as they are logged.
